The main goal is to regulate the flow of people in the desired direction. In secure areas, such as offices or governmental departments, each individual must be identified before entry is authorised. In sports stadia or airports, the entrance system must balance freedom of movement with tight security. In other words, varying degrees of regulation and control, depending on location.

Tripod turnstiles have been around almost as long as controlling access in high-traffic areas has been necessary. From public buildings of all shapes and sizes to private offices and even travelling fairs, everyone has encountered a tripod turnstile at some point in their life. Also known as baffle gates, waist-high or half-height turnstiles, these are one of the most affordable access control systems on the market today.

OPTICAL TURNSTILES

The wing barrier optical turnstile has a sleek brushed finish stainless steel cabinet and solid surface lid which looks great in any installation environment. The footprint of the optical turnstiles makes it an excellent choice for large lobbies with significant floor space. The optical turnstile has crystal clear bi-parting panels that retract fully into the cabinets on authorization. The panels can be etched with corporate logos to further enhance the installation.

The optical turnstile provides bi-directional access control in conjunction with a facility access control system. To enter, users present a valid credential which retracts the turnstile’s motorized barriers into the cabinet, allowing a single passage in the requested direction. If an unauthorized user attempts to tailgate on a valid entry, or attempts entry without authorization, the optical turnstile’s sensors recognize the illegal passage attempt and sound an internal alarm. The turnstile has several operational modes and features that provide a superb combination of safety, security and high user throughput.

The optical turnstile is an IP enabled device. Turnstile settings are adjusted using an included web application.

SWING GATE TURNSTILES

Swing turnstile is a kind of pedestrian access control turnstile that controls the passage by swinging the blocking barrier. It usually has two parallel blocking barriers, which are driven by motors to swing and control pedestrian passage.

The swing turnstile is an upgraded product of an intelligent tripod turnstile gate. It is a high-tech product mainly for the intelligent management of personnel access control. The blocking barrier is a plane with a certain area, perpendicular to the ground, blocking and release are achieved by rotating and swinging. The materials of the blocking barrier are usually stainless steel, plexiglass, and toughened glass, and some also use metal plates wrapped with special flexible materials to reduce the harm to pedestrians.

The width of the swing turnstile gate passage can be adjusted. The width of the conventional passage is 0.5-0.65 meters, and the width of the special passage can reach more than 1.2 meters. It is suitable for the passage of personnel, non-motorized vehicles, and people carrying luggage or disabilities.
