Crash-tested safety bollards are safety barriers that have been impact tested by an accredited third-party testing lab to an international safety standard.

At the testing lab, these bollards were hit with a vehicle to ensure stability, durability, and efficiency — and passed (with flying colors!). Macro’s CrashCore Bollard line can stop vehicles traveling up to 30mph from crashing into buildings and other structures.

While high-security bollards are typically found at government-type facilities and used for more deliberate attacks, storefront safety bollards — like CrashCore Bollards— are used in everyday areas to protect people. Where there is a constant flow of customers, an accidental press of the accelerator could be catastrophic without the use of bollards.

FIXED BOLLARD

Fixed Bollards are sturdy and reliable security measures for traffic control and property protection, providing a medium to high security protection for traffic control or property protection. Made from heavy wall mild steel, they offer a robust construction that can withstand impacts. These bollards are permanently installed, either surface mounted or concreted below ground, providing a visual deterrent and physical barrier. STAINLESS STEEL BOLLARDS

Calpipe Security Bollards’ removable bollards are the best choice when a strong, yet removable perimeter safety is needed. The SSP and SSR series are manufactured from stainless steel and polished to a #4 brushed finish. Both are available in either the standard 304 grade of stainless or marine grade 316 for greater corrosion resistance. These versatile bollards are used in a variety of applications such as parking lots, fire lanes, access roads, and driveways. There are 2 versions of our removable bollards: the external padlocking series and the internal locking. The external padlock on the bollard allows easy access for service vehicles and fire and police departments into restricted areas. Deploy them as needed for public events and remove once the event is over. The internal locking bollards offer concealed and tamper-proof locking. With a simple turn of a key, the bollard locks into its embedment sleeve and can only be removed by unlocking the conveniently located, tamper-resistant lock. Two lid options are provided to cover openings when bollards are removed: an attached lid that folds down to cover the opening or a removable lid that locks into place. These bollards are often used in conjunction with fixed bollards to help create an adaptable barrier system that can allow large objects or vehicles to move through the passageway when necessary. Custom lengths and sizes are also available.

AUTOMATIC BOLLARDS

We offer a range of bollards to help manage vehicle access on or around your property. Models are available to suit low security applications such as controlling traffic flow around a commercial site and preventing ram raids, right through to high security crash tested bollards suitable for hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM). Only the best quality products are supplied and installed.

When retracted they are practically invisible, and when raised their sleek, architectural design complements most sites.

When deployed pedestrian access is barely affected, making them a popular option for crowded areas such as town squares, stadiums, embassies and the like.

Activation time is around 3s, though emergency-fast- operation is around 1.5s. Lowering time is typically 2s. These bollards can be rated to the M30 and M50 anti-terrorism standards, as described below.
